At Stronger Than The Storm Elgin, we believe young people have an incredible ability to make a difference — in their schools, their families, their neighbourhoods and their community.

You don't have to be an adult to be a leader.

You don't need money, a title or a special position.

Sometimes making a difference simply starts by being kind.

We want young people to recognize something important:

Your ideas matter. Your voice matters. And you can make a difference right now.

Young people don't have to wait until they're older to help build a better community.

Through volunteering, community projects, music, leadership, acts of kindness and helping others, young people can discover their own ability to create positive change.

Our Youth & Kindness initiatives are designed to give children and young people opportunities to experience kindness, practise kindness and share kindness.

Activities may include:

Kindness Trees — sharing encouraging messages with others.

Community Kindness Projects — simple projects that help brighten someone's day.

Music & Creative Activities — using music and creativity to bring people together.

School & Community Events — interactive activities promoting kindness, inclusion and belonging.

Volunteering — opportunities for young people to participate and contribute.

Intergenerational Activities — bringing younger and older generations together to learn from one another

Every day gives us opportunities to make someone else's world a little brighter.

Invite someone who is sitting alone.
